ecco alcune info tecniche che aspettavamo. Ve le invio così come le ho ricevute, in modo da poter individuare il metodo più semplice per poter vedere "Live" il PangeaDay. Live significa che non ci sarà nessun DVD o FileDownloading. Quindi non si sa ancora a quale ora del giorno o della notte verrà trasmesso il programma del Pangea.
durante la telefonata ho chiesto info sul logo della NOKIA e mi hanno detto che quella è una sponsorizzazione a livello mondiale che è già inserita nel materiale che mi/ci manderanno e ci chiedono semplicemente di riproporlo liberamente ove possibile.

Thanks for calling today. As I said on the phone, there are three ways you can watch Pangea Day:

1) Television (local terrestrial or cable network): hundreds of broadcasters around the world have signed on to carry on broadcast on May 10, 2008. If you pull the signal from your local TV broadcaster, this will be the most economical option for you. The signal will be in SD (Standard Definition) quality, the best possible. Technically, this is the easiest hookup as you will just need TV/cable access from wherever you will be screening the event. Financially, this should be limited in cost as you can just tap into the broadcast signal for free. Please contact your local broadcaster and notify them of your plans as a courtesy. Details about which broadcasters have signed on around the world will be made available via our website from now until the event.

2) Satellite: we will be beaming our broadcast (unencrypted) via satellite around the world. If you or your venue has satellite downlink capabilities, you can download the broadcast (in SD) from this source. The advantage of this is that you will receive the Pangea Day broadcast unedited/commercialized by local broadcasters. The only drawback is that you will need to cover any expenses to source and use the equipment necessary for downlinking from the satellite. We do not have the satellite coordinate info now, but we will have this well in advance of the event. We will notify everyone of this info through our Friends of Pangea Day program (on our website) closer to the event.

3) Digital/internet: we will be streaming our broadcast online via pangeaday.org. This content is available to anyone who has an internet connection (free). The drawback is that the resolution quality will be substantially lower due to the fact that it will be steaming online.
